Gastric Fever

This disease has received different name such a abdominal typhus, infantile remittent fever, slow fever, nervous fever and pythogenic fever. In common it is known as Typhoid. It is  bacterial disease transmitted by the ingestion of food or water contaminated with the feces of an infected person.


Symptoms:
  • Poor appetite
  •  headaches
  • fever and lethargy
  • Temperature rises and remains high for about 10-14 days,
  • Skin eruption appear, tougue becomes dry and gets white patch in the center. 
  • Fever comes down gradually by the end of 4th week.
In the first week, the temperature rises slowly and fever fluctuation are seen. A bloody nose  and abdominal pain is also possible. In the second week Patient lies with prostrated with high fever. Rose spot appear on the lower chest and abdomen in around of third of patients. In this time fever usually rises in the afternoon . In third week and 4th week the temperature rises and become still and falls gradually.

Prevention:
  • Sanitation and hygienic
  • Get vaccinated against typhoid fever.
  • Boil it and peel it.
  • Avoid raw food which cannot be peeled.
Remedies:
  • Banana is effective
  • Basil leaf and black pepper can be taken (4 leaves and 7 grain black pepper)
  • Honey is helpful
  • Orange juice is also the best for this.

This diseases only occurs in human and it is life threatning.
