We know him as the son of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati, he is also well known as Ganapati, Vinaayaka or Vighneswara , Lambodaram. He is considered as the god who helps us to overcome obstacles in life. Worshipping Ganapati helps man to be courageous and confident. Ganapati is made of three words. 'Ga' means intellect(buddhi) 'Na' means wisdom (vijana) and Pathi means the master. That's why he is considered as the master of intellect and wisdom. He is destroyer of pride and selfishness. He is lord of siddhi (fulfillment) .

Lord Ganesh
