This river separates two districts of Kathmandu valley, Lalitpur and Kathmandu. It is considered as the Thames river . It is also regarded as the holy river of Hindus and Buddhists. Number of Hindu temples are located on its bank. People also believe that it washes all the sins when devotees get bath here.Baagmati is considered as the source of Nepalese civilization and urbanization. Famous holy temple PASHUPATINATH also situated on the bank of this river. Devotees from India and many parts of the world come here to worship.
