Imran Khan - Forever Kaptaan

  • Is a Pakistani politician and former international cricketer.
  • 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
  • He is also the chairman of the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) which he founded In 1996, and has since been a key figure in Pakistan politics.
  • Previously, he was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007, and again from 2013 to 2018. 
  • He played international cricket for two decades, and later developed philanthropic projects such as the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre and Namal College.
  • Khan was born in Lahore on 5th October 1952.
  • He was the only son of Ikramullah Khan Niazi, a civil engineer, and his wife Shaukat Khanum, and has four sisters.
  • He made his first-class cricket debut at the age of 16 in Lahore
  • He made his Test cricket debut against England in June 1971 at Edgbaston. Three years later, in August 1974, he debuted in the One Day International (ODI) match, once again playing against England at Trent Bridge for the Prudential Trophy.
  • Became a national hero by leading Pakistan’s national team to a Cricket World Cup victory in 1992.

    • Imran married Jemima Goldsmith, the daughter of the late British billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, in the year 1995. However, the marriage ended in divorce after nine years. He has two sons — Qasim and Sulaiman from his marriage to Jemima.

    • In 2015, he married journalist Reham Khan, but his second marriage too ended in divorce just after 10 months of togetherness.

    • Third and the present wife is a faith healer, Bushra Maneka, whom he has sought out for spiritual healing in the past.
