Cytoscopy

Meaning: This is endoscopy of the urinary bladder through the urethra.
       
           This is done with the help of Cystoscope. Urethra is a tube that carries urine from bladder to outside of the body. The Cytoscope has lenses like telescope or microscope. Some Cytoscope has optical fibres and carry image from the tip of instrument . Various devices can be passed down the side channels.

            Doctor may recommend cystoscopy in the following cases:
  1. Stone in urinary tract
  2. Frequent urinary tract infection
  3. Blood in urine {hematuria}
  4. Unusual cells found in urine sample
  5. Need for a bladder catheter
  6. Painful urination, chronic pelvic pain
  7. Urinary blockage

Stone In Urinary Bladder

              Every person is suffering form stone forming problem in body. The difference is that some may able to throw these waste and some may not be. In side body mainly calcium and phosphorus are the key element to form the stone in bladder or even in kidney. When body gets enough fluids then it tries to throw the stone which are formed due to crystallization , by the time it turn in to hard stone .
              Once it gets fall in to urinary bladder it gets the passage through urethra. When the stone is larger in size more than 5mm then the bladder can't press it and it stuck near the opening of bladder . Prostrate gland tries to press it but it gets stuck there .
